Task 51: Pirate Treasure Chest Cake

This is Cake number one of task 51. This cake was so much fun. Made it for Trevors Pirate birthday party. I've always wanted to make a treasure chest cake, it's made with two large chocolate cakes cut in half and stacked on top of each other, covered with chocolate icing which we ran a fork over to make it look like textured. Then fillled it with, choc gold coins, lolly necklaces and skittle gems. The 'sand' is just crushed biscuits.

Ta Da! It's Number 85 on the list, one of the few I thought I might not get done and we did it! This place is perfect, it was the first house we looked at one Saturday early November and by the end of November it was ours! It has a large backyard and a outdoor room I have been using for my Family Day Care business. Trevor has been loving pottering around in the outdoor greeniess, and we've quickly made it a home of our own.

Spent a fantastic 2 weeks in May in Queensland and one thing on my list was go on all the rides at Wet n' Wild on the Gold Coast. this place is one of my Fav theme parks in Queensland and this ride was my Fav ride. I can't remember wha it was acually called but I like to call it the Swirling Vortex of Dooom!! Basically sitting on a blow up seat thing with 3 other people and you go in at the area on the top right, down the slide and into the vortex, and then back and forth till you get spat out at the bottom of the funnel. Woo! Especially fun if your the person going down backwards.

Last year on the October long weekend Teef and I went camping at Kuitpo Forest! Was very fun, it was freezing cold, and even rained. We set our tent up in a nice area with a picnic table and nearby there was a forest area where we could forage for fire wood. What a fantastic weekend we had and I can't wait to do it again.

The Handsome Teef and I went down to the medieval festival on the 3rd of may and we had so much fun from about a week before I spent a while making myself a costume! Witness my Gypsy costume!

Hey, I'm back from my 2 week Queensland Holiday and we had so much fun! I'm stoked I got to see my brother, Jess and my dad again. And I've completed a few things on my list. And Teef got to do so many things he's never done before!

So on the topic of my 101 list; the 365 photo's thing has gone out the window and I gotta say it was really hard! I was just struggling to find interesting things to take photo's of. But I refuse to give up I will start again. Having said that some of the goals on my list i'm planning on changing, like going to the gym and the monthly and the exersies per month. Because I got a wii fit and I'm loving it! So I'm still on the path to weight loss and fitness but just going a different route.

So now I just need to work out what I'm going to do with those extra goals.

One thing i'm looking forward too is scrapbooking, we took so many photo's on our holiday, and I've hired a few books from the library to get me motivated!

Thats all I can think of right now, I'm going to post some photo's of tasks that i've done.

Today Teef and I explored the Botanical Gardens in Adelaide, this is a photo of the South Australian Floral Emblem a Sturt Desert Pea. I think they're so gorgeous.

I made this probably about 5 or 6 years ago for Teef before I had met him in real life for a birthday present. Im quite proud of it actually as it was the best one i've ever made. I used to make and sell them but there wasn't enough demand for them.

Meet Gary, my favourite stuffed giraffe. I got him from the Melbourne zoo a couple of years ago when Teef and I visited there. And I've taken him with me on holidays ever since. ^_^ I especially enjoy cuddling him when Teef is not around.
